Speak It To The Universe

TOP Secret of a girl entrepreneur:

Speak it, and the universe will hear

When you really want something, do you speak it out loud?  Or do you just wish upon a star, and hope you get it?

The universe is this magical place where dreams do come true.  The only thing you have to do is speak out, then pay attention.

Two days ago, after dropping my mom off at the dentist, I crossed the parking lot to have lunch at a local eatery.  I was going to take it out, but at the last minute, decided to dine in. So there I was, chowing down and minding my own business, when a man walks in and starts talking to the owner.

I heard the words 'vending' and 'charity'.  Yikes!  That meant that my new business venture 'Charity Chocolates' was being encroached!  Someone else was securing locations for a vending machine business.

The initial reaction was to beat myself up for not approaching the owner of the restaurant myself.  I lost an opportunity.  Rather than sit and stew, I went into action.  I got up from my lunch, and approached the two men at the counter.  I told them I did not mean to intrude, but I did overhear them discussing a vending maching opportunity, and that I have recently bought into my own like business.  Could I inquire what company he was working for?

The business man looked sheepish, and would not tell me.  It turns out, he didn't know.  I pressed him to find out. After a few phone calls, low and behold he was cold calling on behalf of his client, Linda Pond!  As part of the franchise package which I had recently bought into, it included the services of a 'locator' to secure locations for the new machines.

What are the odds that the universe put all the things in place to enable this encounter to happen?  More importantly, what does it take to maintain awareness of these new opportunities?  And most important of all - do we have the balls to actually be proactive and do something about it?

Today's Top Secret:

Speak out loud your intentions.  The Universe will hear and put your desires into motion. Now your job is to watch, look and listen - and act.
